Purchase department
We are looking for an Industrial Group Buyer in charge of building and deploying the production purchasing strategy for the head office and its subsidiaries and guaranteeing its efficiency (quality, cost, deadlines).
The position of Industrial Buyer Group is a creation of position, it is a technical position. He will report to the Purchasing Director who supervises the Purchasing and Innovation (R&D) departments.
The Purchasing department, located at the company’s headquarters in Apt, consists of a Purchasing Director, an Import Purchasing Manager, a Distribution Purchasing Coordinator, a Purchasing Assistant and a Import Purchasing Designer.
The purchasing department works on a medium and long-term horizon (12 to 18 months) and collaborates closely with the departments related to raw materials: production, design office, R&D and quality.
The duties of the post:
• Identify the purchasing needs of production plants in France and export, as well as the needs of external subcontractors,
• Go abroad to production plants and subcontractors to audit their procurement processes and practices,
• Prospecting and identifying supplier markets according to the production area and analysing their competitiveness,
• Manage and track production procurement at the group level with a long-term vision,
• Rationalise and contract certain group production purchases,
• Secure group supplies in a context of high seasonality,
• For each new product or raw material development, collaborate closely with the Innovation Cluster to source the right suppliers and control quality, • Participate in the construction and implementation of purchasing budgets and feed into the purchase reporting,
• Be a source of improvement proposals, both on internal processes, tools, information systems and procurement or organizational issues.
Skills
- With a higher education (business school or equivalent) in Purchasing/ Supply Chain, you have a first successful experience of at least 5 years.
- You have a technical profile, with experience of industrial purchasing in an international context. You are familiar with purchasing and negotiation techniques.
- You have a high level of interpersonal skills to interact with all stakeholders (subsidiaries, internal departments, suppliers).
- You are pragmatic, reliable, flexible, have an appetite for continuous improvement topics and a sense of confidentiality.
- You speak perfect English.
- Ideally, you should be fluent in Spanish.
- You have mastered Excel and its advanced functions.
