Lighting up the Olympic Spirit
As the world unites to celebrate excellence, respect, and friendship during the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024, many French cities proudly take part in the movement as official “Terre de Jeux 2024” territories. To honor their commitment, Blachere Illumination has designed a range of creative, festive, and eco-conscious decorations that now brighten public spaces across France.
From 3D flame sculptures to laurel wreath selfie spots, sporty silhouettes, and colorful 2D hanging designs, these installations aim to celebrate local pride, inspire athletic dreams, and offer residents and visitors alike a magical, photogenic setting throughout the summer.
Crafted in our workshops in Apt, with recycled aluminum and our in-house Recyprint technology, each piece represents a blend of French craftsmanship, environmental values, and Olympic spirit.
Symbolic flames that shine with meaning
In cities like Châteauroux, an Olympic host for shooting and para-shooting events, we created large-scale flame decorations from recycled plastic and sustainable materials. These flames stand tall in town squares and in front of town halls, symbolizing the values of the Games and the commitment of the city to sport, inclusion, and eco-responsibility.
Our Recyprint material, made from repurposed plastic bottles, allows us to print custom textures and colors directly onto each structure—ensuring a unique, durable, and impactful result.
Sporty silhouettes that energize urban spaces
Across roundabouts and public plazas, we installed 2D silhouettes of athletes in motion—a tribute to the energy and diversity of the Olympic disciplines. From cyclists to runners and basketball players, these shapes bring movement and dynamism to the city landscape, encouraging everyone to embrace the spirit of sport and community.
Easy to install and made with recyclable materials, these decorations are also a reminder of our shared values: celebrating excellence while protecting the planet.
Selfie spots and symbols of unity
What better way to create memories than a picture with an Olympic-inspired décor? Our 3D laurel wreath, installed at ground level in several cities, has become a popular photo spot. Families, friends, and tourists gather there to capture the moment and feel part of this global celebration.
